Along the north coast of the Yucatan peninsula within the green embrace of the mangroves lies the village of San Felipe with only 2,000 souls calling it home. Here, the village thrives on fishing, a shimmering thread woven into its very essence.

Located 160 miles from Cancún and 120 miles from Mérida.

The town

The sleepy fishing village of San Felipe, Yucatan is an unusually warm and close-knit community whose inhabitants are dedicated to fishing and eco-tourism. This charming village still has brightly painted wooden houses giving the place a feeling of times gone by.
